Project Overview

In chemical production, the reliability of gas handling equipment has a direct impact on production safety and environmental compliance. Many process gases contain corrosive components that can quickly damage conventional fans, leading to leakage, frequent maintenance, and unplanned shutdowns.

For this project, SIMO BLOWER supplied a customized Stainless Steel Sealed Centrifugal Fan for a chemical processing plant. The fan was integrated into the customer's gas conveying system, where stable operation and effective sealing were essential to maintaining continuous production.


Operating Conditions

The fan was required to transport corrosive process gas continuously while maintaining system pressure and preventing gas leakage.

Customized Engineering

Instead of selecting a standard industrial fan, our engineering team evaluated the customer's operating parameters, including gas composition, operating temperature, airflow, and pressure.

Based on these conditions, the fan was manufactured with a stainless steel gas-contact structure and an enhanced shaft sealing system to improve corrosion resistance and minimize leakage risks.

The impeller profile and internal airflow passages were also optimized to provide stable airflow while maintaining high operating efficiency.


Manufacturing Highlights

Reliable performance begins with precise manufacturing.

Each key component is produced using CNC machining and precision welding to ensure dimensional accuracy and structural integrity.

Before shipment, the impeller undergoes dynamic balancing in accordance with ISO 21940 G2.5, followed by complete performance testing to verify airflow, pressure, vibration, and operational stability.


Project Performance

After commissioning, the fan has operated continuously as part of the customer's chemical gas handling system.

Its stable performance has helped maintain process continuity while reducing maintenance frequency. The improved sealing design also supports safer plant operation by minimizing the possibility of gas leakage.

The project demonstrates the importance of selecting a fan according to actual operating conditions rather than relying on standard configurations.
